Graphics cards in Karachi

Buying graphics cards second-hand

A used graphics card is the single riskiest thing on this site, and also the one where the savings are largest. The card that was mined on and the card that ran games for two years look identical in a photo — the difference shows up in fan bearings, thermal paste that has gone chalky, and a core that throttles under sustained load. That is why every listing here carries a condition grade and why we push sellers to post a benchmark run rather than a spec sheet.

Prices in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad move with import duty and the dollar rate more than with anything NVIDIA or AMD announce, so a card that looked overpriced last month can be fair this month. Compare against current asks on the same model rather than launch MSRP, and treat any price far below the rest of the market as a question to ask, not a bargain to grab.

What to check before you pay

  • Run a sustained load for at least 20 minutes and watch for clock throttling, not just peak score.
  • Check every fan spins freely and quietly by hand — seized bearings are the most common failure.
  • Look at the PCIe connector and screws for the scratches that mean it has been in and out repeatedly.
  • Ask for a photo of the card under load with temperatures on screen.
